Welcome to the
Mimesis project
discover science through the arts and theater
Who says science cannot be learned in another way?
Welcome to Mimesis, where maths and sciences are combined with theatre techniques to make learning fun and creative. Approach symmetry and geometry through mime, develop your communication skills through improvisation and role-playing, embody famous scientists, and work on your memory through physical expression thanks to our activity proposals!
An Erasmus + project tailored to classes
Mimesis is an Erasmus+ project which aims to develop students' scientific intuition while developing their knowledge and communication skills. This project aims to create approaches and educational activities that apply theatrical and body movement techniques in STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) while creating a fun and inclusive learning environment. Accompanied by theatre professionals, the proposed activities aim to allow multidisciplinary learning alongside traditional teaching. Our various educational proposals are aimed at young people from 8 to 12 years old. They have been designed to support teachers in a simple and easy way to carry out creative and inspiring activities in the classroom with few materials.

Through our activities, our goal is to have children explore the different notions of mathematics and science through body expression techniques. Drama is beneficial for developing skills in communication, presentation, adaptability, elocution and self-confidence. Discover our resources to help you implement this approach in your classroom!
