As the Mimesis project draws to a close, we want to ensure its replicability by developing new projects and activities, ensuring the continuity of this initiative.
Leveraging Enhanced Resources
We are committed to continuing to provide teachers and educators with easy access to our resources, adapted to their needs. This includes maintaining our content, updating it regularly, and potentially developing new resources tailored to new learning levels. Teachers already have access to downloadable activity kits and lesson plans that provide step-by-step instructions, material lists and tools for effective implementation of Mimesis activities.
Strengthening Assessment Practices
We recognize the importance of evaluation in measuring the effectiveness of our programs. Moving forward, we want to focus on developing standardized evaluation frameworks and evaluation tools aligned with Mimesis objectives, which can be applied in the world of educational games, and on integrating new forms of evaluation, working in partnership with the world of educational science research.
Maintaining workshops and field activities
While the Mimesis project may be concluding, our commitment to promoting STEAM education remains steadfast. We will continue to host workshops and exhibitions. Already planned workshops include:
The new exhibition of La Fabulerie called “L’amulette des jeux” offering STEAM experiments about sports and self-knowledge: The Mimesis knowledge and activities will be used to develop the exhibition.
Kamishibai Workshop for creating a “Women in Science” exhibition in La Rochelle and working on gender representations in science education.
La Nuit des Jeux Mathématiques et du Codage - Workshops in the fields of games and playful activities for learning maths and coding.
Sustaining Collaborative Partnerships
Collaboration has been instrumental to the success of Mimesis, and we intend to maintain and strengthen our partnerships moving forward. Projects like Robots Meet Arts and Ecodesignlab will serve as platforms for further exploration and innovation in STEAM education. More information:
Robots Meet Arts: Erasmus + Project mixing robotics & coding to enhance learning in humanities topics. Theatre and narration are part of the topics to be addressed and hence, Mimesis will be a basis for developing activities adding robotics and coding practices
Ecodesignlab: A submitted European project to explore science and digital in a new way in school and strengthen bonds between these fields.
Empowering Educators Through Training
Finally, our commitment to supporting educators remains our priority. In the future, we'd like to offer customized learning pathways that enable educators to enhance their skills and expertise in new forms of pedagogy, blending STEAM, emotions and creativity.
We hope to see emerging and support the creation of concrete training programs that provide teachers with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively integrate practices such as Mimesis into their classrooms. While the Mimesis project may be coming to an end, our journey towards transforming STEAM education is far from over. With our follow-up strategy in place, we are confident that we can continue to empower learners, inspire creativity, and foster a culture of innovation in education.
Stay tuned for updates on our continued efforts to unlock the educational potential of students around the world.
